Catch Up Time

Man! I really let a lot of time get by me without posting - however MUCH has gone on - much stress, much drama, much joy, much much.

Ok - so quick timeline - last thing you saw - Tom was in an accident - he is much better -

June 9th - Tom released from hospital - bit too soon if you ask me, but we'll make it work. He's staying with my dad for now.

June 10th - rec'd word that I PASSED my CRM exam. YAY! It wore me out. Would have hated to hear I didn't pass!

June 20th! Got to see my boy KLESKO!!! WOOO HOOO!!!!! He is still a hottie! AND...Yes I invited him to the wedding! LOL! I gave him my business card - he'll probably use it to take out a restraining order! LOL! Same night, took dad out for fathers day - it was nice - HOT but nice. It has been CUH-RAY-ZEE hot here!

June 22 - realize I've lost 8 pounds since start of diet - YAY!

Most of the weekends for the rest of June involved spending time at the house. Crisis averted when Christopher realizes the hot water heater blew - we were able to get it replaced without a flood - just a puddle. THANK YOU CHRISTOPHER!!!

July 3 - moved most of Christopher's stuff out of the house - took stuff to the dump - learned a new phrase from Christopher - apparently when something smells REALLY bad - you shout - "HOLY BALLSACKS!!" HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA! We laffed and laffed and laffed! LOL! Lot of work - smashed my finger pretty good, it was pretty and black - fun times!

Harold & Maude was on tv! LOVE LOVE LOVE that movie and it's been too long since I've seen it! LOL! "Harold *everyone* has the right to make an ass out of themselves. You just can't let the world judge you too much."

July 10 - KAHN - the kitty I allow to climb up with me in my seat - EVEN when I'm not in the mood, apparently didn't appreciate that I had to move my arm (that she was lying on - because I am so kind) back and forth on my computer, so she promptly BITE ME!!!!!!! Little kitty bitch!! I had to get a tetanus and antibiotics!! NO MORE SITTING WITH MOI!

July 13th - ALL STAR GAME!!! National League has not won in 14 years! UNTIL NOW!!! And who wins it? Duluth's own, Brian McCann!! WAY TO GO WILDCAT!!! And yes - was the MVP!! WOOT!

July 14th - Got to see my girl Marie for the first time in a LONG while! Nice lunch! AND start the one month countdown to Keith & Dana's wedding!!

July 17th - I have about HAD it. Couldn't we have just avoided the flooding when Christopher caught the blown water heater? NOoooOOOOooO!! No! The condensation line to the a/c backs up - floods the basement. OMG. What a FRACKING MESS!!!! Miserable. I just had a complete breakdown - poor Joe watches me crying - asks what can he do? I just sobbed - let me cry - just let me get it all out...I just can't stop! Man. I HATE this f'ing house. I am sooooo completely over it. However, new oven is in - after much work by Joe - new dishwasher is in - have looked at flooring - but looks like we are going to have to rent this thing - as the market is just not going to allow me to sell at a price to get anything over and above what I owe.

July 21st thru 24th - Joe & I went to Little Gardens to see what to expect were we to have our ceremony there - very nice - this is exactly what we'd like to have. HOWEVER - daytime (no photography - cake - music, etc) $7500 / night time - $12,500!! Man. If we do this - no honeymoon. INSANE. very very frustrated.

July 27th - Happy 73rd to my daddy!! Dinner that Friday night at 57th Fighter Group - awesome.

July 29th - FINALLY - we have decided to have the wedding at Winfield Hall in Duluth. There will be plenty of room - not the foo foo I wanted that I didn't THINK I wanted - but you know what? The important thing is I am gonna marry the man I love, we are going to have a good time. I will remind myself it doesn't matter what the chairs look like and it doesn't matter about this and that. It just doesn't. We will have the love of family and friends and a good time. That is what it is all about.

August 5th - Got to play "Smarter than Cindy" on Star 94! I didn't win, but you get the prize anyway - the prize is 4 tickets to the bridal expo in Atlanta - however....it's the day after Keith's wedding, I'll still be in Florida. Big bummer.

Same night - I get home and the beads I have ordered for my unique bouquet are here...but wait...there are 2 boxes. Did it really take 2 boxes for the beads?? "No" says Joe. "This is from me, because it is your birthday, I love you and you are the mother of the groom, and if you are angry with me for buying something for your birthday, you just have to get over it!" It was a digital camera COVERED IN BLING!! LOL! It SCREAMS my name! LOVE IT - LOVE HIM!

Finally up to the moment. Got to spend a full Saturday with my honey - first time in almost three months. It was so nice. Today, need to do some "work-work", need to put my clothes together for the wedding to pack - WANT to sckeetch up to the pool in Jasper - get a little sun....LOT TO DO still... We leave Wednesday AM at dark-thirty to get down to Florida to go to MY SON's wedding! OMG!!!

Needed to purchase - A BREAK!

My brother just CAN NOT catch a break. I swear. Got a call today around 4pm that Tom had been in an accident. He was stopped at a red light - and a Ford Expedition rear ended him - the officer says doesn't look like the Ford even stopped. Woman has NO insurance!! She was taken to jail. Good Grief.



Tom has a fractured shoulder, hip & pelvis. He's at NE Ga. Med Ctr. Back out there in the morning.

O.M.G. WHAT DID I DO???

I bought a wedding dress! That's what I "do'd!" OMG. I have prattled on and on about not wanting a wedding gown - and I didn't think I did - until I tried this one on. HAVE MERCY. Then, typical me, I walk out with it, and FREAK. WHAT AM I THINKING. How ridiculous is it for a woman with TWO GROWN CHILDREN to prance around in a wedding dress?

*sigh.* I am going to take it out to my Aunt JoAnn's tomorrow...to hide it. I'll have to have it altered, to make the halter top fit better. Maybe I'll feel better after I put it back on for a picture tomorrow.

Still need to find shoes for Keith's wedding, as well as undergarments.

Spent WAY too much time tonight (it's currently 1:45am) putting a playlist together on my ipod.

What is going on with me? ME - Miss "we are just gonna have an I Do/I Do let's party wedding"!!

Joe is gonna look so smart in his kilt/tux jacket - maybe that's what got me. I don't think I'll tell him I bought a dress - I think I'll just surprise him when I walk in....

We'll see.

I SHOULD be in bed!

Thursday night - Joe in Cary, NC. I went to dinner with Christopher, which was REALLY great. I miss him so. But, didn't get home until 10:30 as a result. I SHOULD be in bed, but I'm not really tired yet. Gonna regret that in the morning!

Haircut and "root naturalization" tonight. I closed my eyes and let Lisa go to town - I LIKE it...bet Joe won't be so crazy about how much was cut off.....

Last night - poor Armando Galarraga - pitched a PERFECT game - but the umpire, Jim Joyce blew the call for the last out and said he was SAFE!! So POOF - there goes the perfect game and POOF it was ruled a hit, so no NONO!! Ugh. The umpire came out later and said how horrible he feels, cuz he screwed Armando out of a perfect game, and he feel sick about it. He realized he blew the call. No overturning the play though - as of today, no instant replay review for "plays" in MLB, just for disputed homeruns. JEEZ - How about disputed PERFECT GAMES!?

At the moment, the BIG news is the spewing oil well 5000ft below the sea in the Gulf. What a mess. BP has been snakebit, I swear. Who knows WHEN this thing will stop?

I am REALLY trying to diet. WHY do I always fall apart? Makes me nuts. I would LIKE to knock of 40 pounds by March for the wedding.

Maybe I will come on here and regularly track my foods - maybe not - I'm not really good at that - but I DO have good intentions.....

Interesting Weekend - 5/22/20-5/23/10

Saturday was wonderful - no rush to get up - lazy early day - enjoying having my honey home - he's been away during the week for weeks.

Then off to my Duluth house - have to face the dreaded basement. Why dreaded? I think the reason that basement is in the shape it is, is I have always been overwhelmed by the amount of stuff in it. AND - a lot is stuff that means something to me, AND I was afraid of it being ruined or having bugs/critter damage, etc. Also there are more cobwebs down there than in the Addams Family house! I actually have been supposed to work on this basement the last 2 weekends, but have been in complete denial. Thank God for Joe - he took charge for me - pushed me got me to keep going, even when I was having hormonal moments after finding this or that that belonged to my little ones, or this or that tchotchke....

So HALF the basement is done - the hard half. Next week we can finish and get on to paint/repair, etc.

Ok - that night we get to talking about what we are gonna do for our honeymoon, and know we need to set a date so we can start planning - It is set! March 12, 2011. I am gonna do something I SWORE I'd never do again. Of course, I got a little carried away - and put it on FB before calling my kids, my aunt and my best friend - and I HEARD ALL ABOUT IT!!! I am SO sorry - Never meant to hurt anyone!! We were just so excited.... Gotta show you the kitty picture I put up - It is SOOOO us.

Ok - so Joe is off again - bummer. I am off to Greensboro for the company picnic. The drive was a drag. Picnic ok. Then coming home, ALL my favorite shows are finals tonight, and I'll not be home in time to see them in full!! GOTTA get that Tivo working! GOTTA!
